If you are anything like me then you will know that getting the right gift is just half the struggle. Wrapping it up perfectly is the other half. I always find that getting the right kind of Christmas wrapping paper is the first step in the right direction.
CHRISTMAS WRAPPING PAPER: THERE ARE JUST TOO MANY OPTIONS!
There are just so many options when it comes to the kind of Christmas wrapping paper that you use. The paper varies based on design, color and even the texture of the paper. In order to make the choice easier I have divided the Christmas wrapping paper options into a few types. Let’s take a look at them.
1.Christmas Wrapping Paper With A Simplistic Look
Take a look at the Kraft Christmas wrapping paper that I have displayed above. These types of wrapping paper are simple. They are usually a combination of two colors. You will also notice that they have simple geometric designs. None of the designs are really related to Christmas.
This is the type of Christmas wrapping paper that my Dad would bring home. It’s simplicity allows it to be used on other occasions and not just Christmas. He likes that but I don’t!
2.Christmas Wrapping Paper With Animals
I found this particular Christmas wrapping paper when I was browsing through Amazon and I fell in love with it. The vintage look combined with the animals made m like it instantly. The bows and the wreathes in the design really bring out the Christmas spirit. The best part about it is that it works great for all ages.
3. Christmas Wrapping Paper With Christmas Motiffs
These types of wrapping paper have Christmas related motifs all over them. They are cute and simple. Again, this type of paper can be used for people of all ages. There are a few more that I found that I thought you may find interesting. I’m listing the links below.
4. Christmas Wrapping Paper With Disney Characters
Disney wrapping papers are always a favorite with kids. Some adults (like me!) love them too. There are a number of different Disney wrapping papers in the market. I liked this particular one a lot.
CHRISTMAS GIFT WRAPPING INVOLVES A LOT MORE THAT JUST THE WRAPPING PAPER!
A lot of people just wrap their gifts for the sake of wrapping gifts. I am very very different. I take time and effort because I believe that everything needs to be just right. After all… That is how Santa plans it right? Well if it has to be just right them we need to have a few accessories in addition to just gift paper. Here is a list of the accessories that I tend to search for.
You can never have to many ribbons. At least I can’t! I love adding them to presents. I feel that ribbons give gifts that extra Oomph factor that I look for. In fact if you look at my collection you will find ribbons of all sizes and colors.
2. Pull Bows
Struggling to make a perfect bow is a thing of the past. Pull bows have definitely come to my rescue when I have lots of gifts to wrap. I especially like bows that have Christmas patterns on their ribbons. They go so well with self colored wrapping paper!
Baskets work well when you want to put together a hamper. You can wrap presents individually and place them in the basket or you can arrange them without wrapping them. I personally prefer wrapping each and every gift. It adds to the excitement but it is also a lot of work. Another thing that I do is ensure that each gift item is wrapped with a different Christmas wrapping paper. Takes a lot of thought but it is definitely worth it in the end!
Oh! Don’t forget to buy the basket according to the number of gift items and their size. An overcrowded basket doesn’t look good and a half empty one is pleasing either!
4.Sheer Drawstring bags
Drawstring bags work in a similar way that baskets do. They are meant for smaller gifts. In fact, you can use the drawstring bag for a single gift or for multiple. Make sure you choose the size correctly. I love stuffing these bags with little toys and chocolates. The bags come in various colors. Honestly I prefer the white ones. They give me the opportunity to use multicolored presents inside.
Everyone uses tissue paper in their gifts so I’m not even going to bore you with why I use it. I’m just going to assume that you already know! My favorite way to use it is when I’m gifting jewelry or crockery items!
6.Clear Cellophane Basket Bags
Wrapping the whole basket with a Christmas wrapping paper is a big no-no! Instead you should use a transparent Cellophane paper. The problem however starts when you actually begin the wrapping process. I can never get it to look perfect. I’ve recently started trying the cellophane wrapping bags and they save so much time, energy and look perfect after the wrapping is complete!
7. Gift Bags
Wrapping a Christmas gift is special. I have a compulsive urge to ensure that each piece that I wrap is unique. In my opinion, it isn’t just about the Christmas wrapping paper that you choose. It is about the time, effort and love that you put into making the gift special.
