“Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas!”
Yes the season to be jolly is sneaking up on us. The days are passing by. It is around this time of year that I start thinking of all the little things that I can do to make the coming Christmas great. While thinking of all the little things I couldn’t help but dwell on the miniature Christmas ornaments that we use every year.
I’m not the only one who is particularly fond of the miniature Christmas ornaments. Over the years I have seen people us them in various ways. Some place them on shelves while others hang them on the Christmas tree. Most people find innovative ways to incorporate miniature Christmas ornaments in different Christmas themed decorations.
CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS: The Doll House Collection
I happened to be browsing around and I found a few things that grabbed my attention. Now I don’t have a daughter but had I had one, she would have definitely have wanted these pieces in her doll house!
THE MINIATURE CHRISTMAS KITCHEN SCENE
Nothing could get cuter than this! A hand painted kitchen set that is all prepped up for the holidays. I love making small arrangements in the house. This one definitely looks like it needs to find a place in my kitchen.
THE COLLECTIBLE MINIATURE CHRISTMAS SET
This is another 7 piece set designed especially for the holidays. It even comes with a little teddy bear that is strategically placed on a chair. This miniature Christmas set is designed to be placed in the parlor of a doll house. I however find that it would work well on a small shelf. You don’t need a doll house to display your Christmas spirit now do you?
TH LIGHTED MINIATURE CHRISTMAS FURNITURE SET
This is another miniature living set that all out to put the doll house in a Christmas mood. What makes this particular set so different? It has an LED in the fireplace so unlike the other sets, this one actually glows!
THE CHRISTMAS TREE
You will find that in most houses Christmas ornaments have a place of pride on the Christmas tree. In my house every ornament tells a story. Some are made by mother, some are made by me and some are (very grudgingly) made by my husband. A few of the ornaments that we have tell tales about the countries that we visited. No simple ornament goes on the tree without scrutiny. Each one has to be exceptionally unique or should have an emotional story that ties it there!
Here are a few that I may venture to consider if I ever did go shopping for more… Which I eventually will!
BLACK AND RED SNOWMAN ORNAMENTS
Out with the old and in with the new! That isn’t a concept that I can wrap my head around. I have to admit that these pretty snowman ornaments form perfect replacements for the tacky old red baubles when they break (which sadly they eventually do!).
ORNAMENT STORAGE CASE
Like I said before, I love my Christmas ornaments but eventually they break and when they do they break my heart along with them. The reason why my ornaments break is because try as I might I can’t pack them very securely. I struggle and try different methods but there is always some flaw that I never saw. That’s why I started considering buying an ornament storage case. Take a look at this one. Do you think it’s a good idea? Have you used one like this before?
THE VINTAGE WOODEN SLED
The miniature vintage wooden sled doesn’t even need a reason to be chosen. I’m just going to let this picture show you why I fell in love with it! This Christmas ornament has just skyrocketed to the top of my list!
When Christmas comes trotting around the corner a number of people start rummaging in their attics. They pull out lights to decorate both the inside and outside of their houses with. Sadly not everyone is nimble enough to do this. The old folks have to either shell out cash to have someone do it for them or they have to sit the whole ceremony out. Neither seems like a good option.
The Projector lights go a long way to solving the problem that old folks find with Christmas ornaments or lights. It is easy to setup and it definitely looks beautiful. Take a look at the on displayed in the picture above. I love the simplicity that it has.
